The roast levels are grouped into three categories as following from the original seven categories: light: light, blonde, Nordic; medium: medium; dark: dark, Italian, French.

Source: The Great American Coffee Taste Test: Consumer Survey. It was hosted in October 2023 on YouTube by James Hoffmann and coffee company Cometeer. The viewers were asked to fill out a survey about four coffees they ordered from Cometeer for the tasting.
