Vocabulary

The Chinese Proficiency Test/HSK has been upgraded from its old 2010 HSK2.0 version to its new 2026 HSK3.0 version. The original 6 levels have been expanded into 9 levels with the newly added advanced level 7–9. The total number of vocabulary entries (characters and words) for the first 6 levels are kept the same at around 5000.
